  9. I am currently using _C Programmers's Guide to Serial Communications_ by Joe
  10. Campbell, (Sams 1994, 2nd ed, 2nd printing) for an embedded modem project I'm 
  11. working on.  It develops a full portable library for modem control (in addtion to 
  12. serial drivers).  There's nothing in it about voice mail, but it's a good start.
